Are you planning on visiting a restaurant on Valentine’s Day? Don’t! Restaurants are usually houseful on Valentine’s Day! Plus it is not easy to get a reservation even when you try to book your seats early. Further, even if your have booked your seats, you would have to wait for a long time before you are able to sit for your dinner. Not to mention that romantic dinners at restaurants is just an unnecessary expense! Believe it or not, you can recreate the whole magic of romantic dinner at your home! If you are not sure about what to do, this article is for you!
Few things to keep in mind:
1) Do NOT try to cook alone. The very thought that you have to cook all the meals alone is enough to fill your mind with panic and stress, so much so that you would see the restaurant as a much better option. Engage your partner in the cooking process and divide the tasks among yourselves. Not only would that take off a lot of workload from your shoulders, it is also an easy way to bond well with your partner by spending considerable time with her!
2) Cook only what you love to eat. Make sure to take your partner’s wishes into account too. If your partner doesn’t like a certain food, you shouldn’t cook it even if you are dying to eat it! It is just a way of keeping your partner happy on this romantic day; moreover when you are in a relationship, you should try to place your own needs and those of your partner on equal footing!
3) Buy all the ingredients in advance, so that you don’t have to waste time in getting the items from the store on Valentine’s day. Remember that the more time you spend with your beloved on this day, the better for both of you! I would suggest that you prepare a list of all the ingredients you may need in advance, and then buy them all as soon as possible! Stock those ingredients in your refrigerator for later use!
4) DO NOT plan a majestic dinner if neither of you are great cooks. It is better to celebrate Valentine’s Day by cooking simple dishes for both of you than make a mess in your kitchen by trying something extraordinary and unfamiliar!
Remember that as long as you cook the meals in a loving manner, it would show off in the food! Plus romantic dinners are just another excuse of spending some quality time together, isn’t it? As for candle lights, you can easily buy some fragrant candles from your local store.
5) If the Valentine’s day unfortunately falls on a weekday, and your boss is not in a mood to offer you leave, then you would be hard-pressed for time. That is why you should try to squeeze as much work as possible within whatever spare time you get.
For example, early in morning you could decorate the dinner table with the fancy tablecloth you have brought, as well as place the candles around it! Make sure NOT to light those candles until you return from office. If possible, you may also want to help your partner in chopping the necessary vegetables for dinner! When you return from office, you would probably be too tired to do all those chores.
As soon as you are back from office, light the candles, scatter the rose petals around the table, put the wine glasses and Champagne bottle on the table, and then get ready for a sumptuous, romantic dinner!
If you are fortunate enough to have a soulmate, I am sure you have planned about all the gifts you would be showering on her. Maybe you have even made elaborate plans for the party you would be throwing in on February 14. However, if you are one of those unfortunate singles who is yet to find a partner, there is nothing to worry about!
